### Professional career

- Golden has held the role of a Housing Court judge in Staten Island since 2022, appointed by the Chief Administrative Judge for a term through 2027
- Democratic Party candidate running in the November 3, 2026 special general election for a New York City Civil Court judge seat in Richmond County (Staten Island)

- She also held legal roles at private firms and as a sole practitioner in civil litigation matters
- Before joining the bench, she worked in housing litigation for Legal Services NYC in Staten Island, where she became Director of Housing, and earlier as a housing staff attorney handling eviction cases, unsafe condition litigation, and tenant representation.
- Golden was raised in the West Brighton Houses public housing complex and credits Civil Rights Movement stories from her grandmother with inspiring her legal career
