### Professional career

- Began her legal career in private practice in Marion, Ohio, from 1994 to 2004, then joined the Marion County Municipal Court in 2004 and elected to her first judicial term in 2005
- Judge Teresa L. Ballinger is a long‐time judge of the Marion County Municipal Court in Ohio, serving in her third full term and overseeing specialized dockets such as mental health, drug court, and veterans’ treatment court

### Education

- Capital University Law School in and was admitted to the Ohio Bar that same year — J.D. (1994)

### Additional information

- Ballinger has received the ATHENA Award (2012) and the McLin Award for Innovations in Community Control (2017).
- Born in Marion, Ohio, and graduating from Pleasant High School in 1975, Ballinger obtained a BA in Psychology from Ohio Dominican University in 1979, later completing an education degree there in 1984.
