## Biography

### Professional career

- North Carolina District Court judge for Judicial District 8, serving Edgecombe, Nash, and Wilson counties, appointed in 2025 by Governor Josh Stein to complete Judge William Solomon’s term through 2026
- Currently an associate attorney at Lassiter & Sperati, PLLC in Rocky Mount Elon University
- Initially planning a career in sports and entertainment law, she was inspired to pursue public service through her Residency-in-Practice at the Guilford County Public Defender’s Office and an internship at the Alamance County District Attorney’s Office

### Education

- A native of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Taylor earned her B.S. in Sport Management from Queens University of Charlotte and her J.D. from Elon University School of Law in 2018.

- In August 2026, she delivered the Call to Honor at Elon Law’s Convocation, urging new law students to base their careers on character, service, and integrity, and to remain open to unexpected opportunities
