## Biography

### Professional career

- Over 38 years on the bench, Wynne became the state’s longest‐serving Superior Court judge at the time of his 2017 retirement
- He then served 14 years in South District Court before becoming a Snohomish County Superior Court judge in 1993
- After leaving Superior Court, he briefly served as an interim Everett Municipal Court judge

- Colleagues described him as a “consummate judge” who listened to all sides, knew the community deeply, and maintained respectful, fair courtrooms
- His successor, Cindy Larsen, a longtime prosecutor, was sworn in upon his retirement
- Born in Everett, Washington, and a U.S. Army veteran, Wynne graduated from Everett High School, law school at the University of Washington, and began his legal career as an assistant attorney general for Washington before returning home as a deputy prosecutor in Snohomish County’s Prosecutor’s Office for seven years
