### Professional career

- Appointed: July 28, 1995, by Governor Zell Miller as Superior Court Judge for the Pataula Circuit, which includes Clay, Early, Miller, Quitman, Randolph, Seminole, and Terrell Counties
- Early Career: Began private legal practice in Blakely, GA in 1961; held the role of City Attorney for Blakely; practiced law privately until his judicial appointment
