- In 2004, after three years as Associate Judge, Weaver became Chief Judge of Albany Municipal Court.

- Elected to the Dougherty County School Board in 2002 and held the role of Chairman
- Weaver practiced law for over 30 years in Albany with firms including Brown & Scoccimaro, PC, Brown, Scoccimaro & Weaver, PC, and Weaver Law Offices LLC.
- He has also held the role of Chief Judge in the Georgia cities of Dawson, Leslie, Sylvester, and Warwick.
- Past President of the Council of Municipal Court Judges, leading efforts to keep courts open during the COVID-19 pandemic, and currently serves as the Council’s Second District Representative
- Willie C. Weaver Sr. is a distinguished judge and public servant from Albany, Georgia, best known for his long career in municipal court leadership and his current role as City Commissioner for Ward 2 of the City of Albany
- Weaver has been active in community life, including membership in the Greater 2nd Mt.
- Olive Missionary Baptist Church, and is recognized for his dedication to family and public service.
