## Biography

### Professional career

- Manes has been with Upshur County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 since November 2008 and previously held the role of a Municipal Judge in East Mountain, Texas for five years
- In August 2024, Manes resigned as East Mountain’s part-time municipal judge to avoid being drawn into a contentious dispute between the city’s police chief and the former court clerk
- Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1 for Upshur County, Texas, based at 301 East Butler Street, Gilmer, TX 75644 (County Rock Building)
