Methodology
What you can study
Each record includes the case name, court, available decision date, AI category and tags, a summary, the reported court response, available judge names, and a link to the decision or supporting source. Missing dates and identities remain unfilled.
Use Cases, Judges, or Courts to change views. Search cases by name, judge, court, state, summary, or tag. In Cases, filter by AI category or the party using AI: counsel, self-represented, or other/unknown. Sort by most recent decision, name, or recorded ruling count. Results are paginated, and the URL preserves your selection for sharing.
Coverage and interpretation
The current index contains 1,395 hallucination records and 30 AI evidence, deepfake, and discovery records. Counts describe published records, not a complete census of AI litigation or unique adjudications. Court listings follow the source names and can include naming variants. The Judges view covers 40 named entries linked in this index; many case records have no identified judge. Ruling counts are recorded associations and should not be interpreted as judge performance or comparable caseloads.
Category and party filters apply to Cases. Judge and court views summarize the available index; they are not filtered cohort statistics. A source link does not mean every allegation was accepted by a court. Read the linked decision for procedural context, outcome, and limitations.
Collections and sources
The index combines Damien Charlotin’s AI Hallucination Cases, AI Evidence Cases, AI Deepfakes in Court, and AI Discovery Cases collections with their linked court documents, public repositories, and reporting. The links below identify the document and reporting hosts actually cited by the published records; each opens an example cited document. They are not all independent collection providers.
