Informational service

KnowJudges is an independent, source-linked information service. It is not a court, government agency, law firm, lawyer-referral service, background-check service, or substitute for official records or legal advice. Information may be incomplete, delayed, or superseded. Always check the current docket, applicable rules, and case-specific orders.

Permitted use

You may use public pages for ordinary personal, professional, journalistic, scholarly, educational, citation, and search-discovery purposes, subject to these terms, the Public Records & Data Use policy, third-party rights, and applicable law.

Restrictions

You may not:

• use the service unlawfully, deceptively, to harass, threaten, discriminate, dox, or endanger anyone;
• misrepresent KnowJudges content as an official court record or imply endorsement by a judge, court, or KnowJudges;
• systematically scrape, mirror, reconstruct, republish, resell, or extract a substantial part of the database without permission or an independent legal right;
• circumvent rate limits, access controls, robots directives, security controls, or other technical protections;
• remove attribution, source mapping, provenance, rights notices, or integrity markers;
• use KnowJudges-created content or protected database organization for commercial model training or bulk automated analysis where applicable rights are reserved, unless separately licensed or permitted by law;
• attempt to identify a private person from deidentified material, introduce fabricated facts, or use the service as the sole basis for eligibility, credit, employment, housing, insurance, or similar consequential decisions; or
• interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without authorization, or distribute malware.

Sources, corrections, and intellectual property

Source owners retain their rights. KnowJudges reserves applicable rights in its original work and database organization, but does not claim ownership of public facts merely because they are displayed. Send accuracy, privacy, sealing, and source concerns through Corrections & Record Review.

Availability and changes

The service is provided on an as-available basis. Features, coverage, access methods, and these terms may change. A new effective date and version will identify material terms changes. Future API, MCP, export, account, or paid-product access may require separate terms and affirmative clickwrap acceptance.

Unresolved legal terms

No governing-law clause, venue selection, arbitration requirement, class waiver, or numerical liability cap is stated in this v1 because those terms require verified operator information and counsel review. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
