C. Morgan Kim

C. Morgan Kim was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in March 2026. Judge Kim earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government in 1994 from Georgetown University and a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 1999 from George Mason University School of Law. From 2025 to February 2026, she was the senior vice president of legal and corporate compliance at a publicly traded biotechnology company. From 2015 to 2025, she was in various legal, ethics, and compliance leadership roles in the private and public sectors. From 2013 to 2015, she served as the deputy inspector general with the Office of Inspector General, Department of Commerce. From 2011 to 2013, she worked in-house for a financial services company. From 2006 to 2011, she served as the chief oversight counsel and deputy chief counsel on two separate committees in the U.S. House of Representatives. From 2001 to 2005, she served as an assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. From 2000 to 2001, she was an associate at a Global Am Law firm. From August 1999 to September 2000, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kenneth L. Ryskamp, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida. Judge Kim is a member of the State Bar of California and District of Columbia.
