Professional career
- Klein began her career as a self-employed private practice lawyer and an Assistant County Attorney for the Orange County Family Court. In 1989, she became a law guardian with the Family Court. She worked in that capacity until 2000. She also served as a Mediator for a Mediation Pilot Program from 1997 to 2000 and as a Chester Town Court Justice from 1988 to 2000. She was appointed to the Orange County Family Court and the Orange County Juvenile Drug Court in 2000. She has also been a judge of the Orange County Treatment Court since 2001 and an acting justice of the Supreme Court since 2002.
