Dillon J. Ambrose

Dillon J. Ambrose was appointed as a temporary immigration judge to begin hearing cases in February 2026. Judge Ambrose earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1998 from Marquette University and a Juris Doctor in 2002 from Marquette University Law School. From 2024 to January 2026, he served as a trial counsel for the U.S. Trustee Program, Department of Justice. From 2011 to 2024, he served as a civil litigator at a law firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From 2010 to 2011, he clerked for a federal district court judge in the District of Columbia. From 2002 to 2010, he served as an active-duty judge advocate with the U.S. Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps and thereafter continues to serve in U.S. Navy Reserve, with positions including defense counsel, prosecutor, appellate defense counsel, appellate government counsel, and staff judge advocate. He holds the rank of captain. Judge Ambrose is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
