Eric Stransky

Eric Stransky was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in March 2026. Judge Stransky earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2004 from the University of Oakland and a Juris Doctorate in 2007 from the Ave Maria School of Law. From June 2016 to February 2026, he was an assistant chief counsel with the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, in Minneapolis – St. Paul. From October 2007 to June 2016, he served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Army. Judge Stransky is a member of the Iowa State Bar.
