Jerome M. Day

Jerome M. Day was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2026. Judge Day earned a Bachelor of Science in 1976 from the University of Texas El Paso and a Juris Doctor in 1980 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. From May 2006 to April 2026, he was a solo practitioner in Edmond, Oklahoma, in the areas of administrative law, domestic relations, real estate, civil litigation and probate, and during this time from 2007 to April 2026, he also served as an administrative law judge for the State of Oklahoma Real Estate Commission. From January 1990 to March 2026, he was also a partner in the law firm Grimes, Gelders, Anderson & Day in Oklahoma City. Judge Day has experience as an administrative law judge, hearing examiner, and prosecutor, and as a litigator in both state and federal courts. Judge Day is a member of the Oklahoma Bar, State Bar of Texas, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Fifth and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. District Courts in Texas and Oklahoma.
