Education

• Undergraduate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1994, and her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1998

Additional information

• There she presided over criminal, civil, domestic relations, and probate cases prior to her selection in July 2025 as Chief Judge of the 20th Judicial District
• Appointed to the District Court bench in October 2017
• Prior to her appointment to the bench, Judge Salomone practiced as a partner in the Boulder law firm Malkinson Salomone, as a solo practitioner, and as a deputy state public defender in the Denver trial office
• In additional to serving as the administrative head of the district, Judge Salomone currently presides over post-judgment criminal matters, selected felony matters, and the 20th JD’s recently established Competency Docket, which is a specialty docket serving individuals whose criminal cases cannot proceed due to their experience of severe and persistent mental illness that prevents their comprehension or participation in criminal proceedings
