Robert G. Palmer

Robert G. Palmer was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in May 2026. Judge Palmer earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1995 from the University of North Florida, a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2002 from Mississippi College School of Law, and a Master of Laws in Military Law with a specialty in contract and fiscal law in 2006 from the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School. From March 2022 to May 2026, he served as an associate counsel with the Office of General Law, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Department of Commerce, in Alexandria, Virginia. From March 2016 to March 2022, he served as an associate counsel at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast, Department of the Navy, in Jacksonville, Florida. From 2002 to 2016, he served as a Marine judge advocate in various positions at Marine Corps installations in the United States and overseas. Judge Palmer is a member of the Florida Bar.
