Stephen P. Alcorn

Stephen P. Alcorn was appointed as an immigration judge to begin hearing cases in March 2026. Judge Alcorn earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1989 from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Juris Doctorate in 2000 from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. From October 2022 to February 2026, he was an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Department of Homeland Security, assigned as a legal instructor for the U.S. Border Patrol Academy in Artesia, New Mexico. From March 2013 to December 2021, he served as the city attorney for Montrose, Colorado. From October 2004 to March 2013, he was a judge of the District Court, State of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. From June 1997 to August 2004, he was an assistant district attorney for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office. Judge Alcorn served as an armor officer in Germany, Korea, and Operation Desert Storm. Judge Alcorn is a member of the Colorado Bar.
